2026 Census jobs—now hiring
The next census will take place in May 2026. To support census collection efforts, Statistics Canada is now hiring in communities across Canada. Both supervisory and non-supervisory positions are available.
For over a century, Canadians have relied on census data to better understand how the country is evolving and to support decisions that directly affect families, neighbourhoods and businesses.
We are hiring local staff to help us collect accurate data in your community. These data are vital for planning and evaluating programs and services such as education, health care, child care, housing, emergency services, roads, public transportation and job training.
To carry out the 2026 Census, we will be hiring people across Canada. Your support in raising awareness of these job opportunities will directly contribute to the success of the census.
Statistics Canada is now hiring for the 2026 Census!
Entry-level, supervisory and managerial positions are available in your community. Start and end dates vary by position and location, with some opportunities beginning as early as September 2025.
