Agriculture Conditions - Your Input Required
We are currently collecting end of September Agroclimate Impacts through the Agroclimate Impact Reporter. Please submit a report of how weather and climate conditions are impacting your area. We know that many producers in Saskatchewan have faced a difficult growing season. Despite a wetter than normal growing season in many regions, Dry spring conditions are still impacting producers and now we are seeing many regions start to dry out once again. We would like to understand if these conditions are a concern to producers going into the fall and winter season and hearing directly from people in your county provides valuable information to help ensure regional concerns are heard.
We have very limited participation in this survey from Many Rural Municipalities in Saskatchewan and would appreciate you circulating this email and questionnaire as far and wide.
To receive monthly reminders during the growing season (April through October), we encourage individuals to sign up to our distribution list. To receive monthly reminders please send an email to myself or aafc.droughtwatch-guetterlasecheresse.aac@agr.gc.ca with the subject line “Sign up of AIR”. This will ensure that we provide an opportunity to producers in your county a chance to provide details on the conditions and challenges producers are facing related to the weather conditions. The information provided helps inform programs and activities through the department including condition assessments including the Canadian Drought Monitor, and program including Livestock Tax deferral.
All information provided is anonymous; we cannot link your responses back to you or your contact information.
