2025-26 Agricultural Water Management Fund
The Water Security Agency (WSA) is continuing to offer a program that provides $750,000 to Saskatchewan farmers and ranchers to advance responsible agricultural water management projects and address barriers producers may experience when working towards an approved drainage project.
The Agricultural Water Management Fund supports WSA’s Agricultural Water Management Strategy with a goal of helping farmers and ranchers create responsibly managed and sustainable drainage networks.
You could receive up to $95,000 per project on a cost-sharing approach. It can be used for Qualified Persons support, mediation services support, technical and engineering costs, mitigation, and rehabilitation works for new projects, and a rebate component for Qualified Persons (QPs) work that has already been completed. Intake for the On-Farm Qualified Persons and Mediation Support Services streams will occur from April 1, 2025 to February 15, 2026. Intake for the Technical Design Solutions and Mitigation & Rehabilitation Support streams will occur from April 1 – April 30, 2025 as these streams require pre-approval.
As a partner, we would appreciate your help sharing this with your members, Council and/or rate payers who may be interested in developing a network drainage project.
The program guide details eligibility, types of financial assistance and the application process, which can be accessed online, along with application forms and all other details about the Agricultural Water Management Fund
