Strychnine Supply Update

Agromax has provided a supply update and unfortunately despite all their efforts were unable to secure enough raw materials to produce and distribute 2% LSC to all municipalities. This was unfortunate for everyone involved.  Anticipated confirmed shipments of supply are November and January and with these two shipments, Agromax states they will be able to fulfill all orders. There should be no concern about supply shortages at this time.  Agromax will ship throughout the winter months ensuring product availability the spring 2027 season, anticipated to run from February through April.

Thank you to everyone who completed the required training course and submitted the necessary paperwork in preparation for receiving the product. We recognize the time and effort this required and regret that the supply issues prevented the product from being made available.

The RM will also continue to advocate for the longer-term approval and availability of strychnine as an effective tool for controlling gophers.
